Tech Trek

Thank you to Mary Duval for stepping forward and agreeing to oversee the Tech Trek committee.
While it is a joint effort and a wonderful group of CHAR members are participating, it is essential to have someone at the helm to ensure things run smoothly.

Tech Trek tuition is $900 per student. Watch for fundraising activities throughout the year. If you would like to donate any amount, please email us for details.

A Little Tech Trek History

Marie Wolbach, an AAUW of California member, is credited with beginning Tech Trek in 1998.  She had received an AAUW Community  Action Grant and the rest is history!  Today, 20 years later, AAUW Tech Trek operates at 22 different sites around the United States.  Ten of those are in California alone.

Statistics show that Tech Trek alumnae complete Pre-Calculus at a rate of twice the national average and they complete Algebra II at a rate higher than either male or female students in general.
