Citrus Heights/American River branch of AAUW supports various funds and scholarships.  Listed below are current programs we are dedicated to and promote through fund raising by our members and in the community.  We are proud to be able to help women and girls throughout the country and here at home to better their lives in meaningful ways.

• Through AAUW grants, fellowships and scholarships for graduate study, national and international. And support for our Leadership Training initiative for college women.
• Through AAUW-CA scholarships for local 7th grade girls to attend Tech Trek, our major initiative to introduce girls, through a week’s summer experience, to college, especially: science, technology, engineering, and math curriculum.  (See Tech Trek)
• Local scholarships for college reentry women, who have been out of the academic world for a while and wish to return for that degree.
